Quarterback Vinny Testaverde’s Favorite Receivers

Vinny Testaverde played college football at the University of Miami and was a highly touted quarterback coming out of school. The former Hurricanes player didn’t set the league on fire when he came in though, part of that might have been that he just wasn’t that kind of player and part of it might have been because the team that drafted him, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the least talented teams in the league.

Testaverde worked in Tampa for a while and then began working on a career that saw him play for numerous franchises. Throughout his time in the NFL, he was always a positive influence on whatever team he was on. When he finally retired, he had made plays at quarterback for the Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, and Carolina Panthers. In fact, he had been on the Jets’ roster on two separate occasions.

Testaverde earned a reputation as a journeyman, but an unbiased look at his career numbers actually verifies the talent people saw in him in college. He may not have been the greatest quarterback in National Football League history, but he ended up with a professional career he could be very proud of.
