The town of Almerimar is located on the Mediterranean. This region “Costa de Almería” has a very moderate climate throughout the year. This means very little rain and more hours of sunshine per year than anywhere else in Europe. Therefore Almerimar is perfect for a stay both in winter and in summer. The town has a lot to offer, such as a 27-hole golf course, marina, “Punta Entinas-Sabinar” nature reserve, Mediterranean beaches and it is close to the Alpujarras mountains. There are pubs, restaurants and bars in the center. Towns like “El Ejido” and Resorts like “Roquetas del Mar” are located in the immediate area around Almerimar. The city of Almería, with its historic castle, cathedral and elegant shops, is a 30-minute drive away. The city of Granada, with its historic center and the Alhambra Palace, as well as the “Sierra Nevada”, with its winter ski resort, are 90 minutes away and the city of Malaga in 120 minutes. The only European desert, Tabernas, is 45 minutes away and the natural reserve of “Cabo de Gata” is only one hour away. Almería airport (LEI) and the “Mini-Hollywood Theme Park” are both only 40 minutes from Almerimar!!!
The town of Almerimar inaugurated its completely renovated 5-star Hotel Golf Resort on December 8, 2012. The Resort offers nice facilities for golfers. The hotel has 100 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and is directly accessible from the golf course. Next to the hotel is the Casa Club de Golf where the caddy-master is located.
The town center includes the Spanish marina with the largest boat capacity in Spain. The yachts are moored practically in the center next to the many bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy a typical Spanish tapa accompanied by a sunny day most of the year. Shops, banks with ATMs, pharmacy, supermarket, bakery and town hall offices are present in the center.
The natural reserve “Punta Entinas-Sabinar Natural Park” is located to the east of the town bounded by the Mediterranean Sea and connecting Almerimar with the “Roquetas de Mar” spa. This reserve is protected by Spanish and European Environmental laws. Flamingos are the best known birds but there are many smaller protected species that make their home here. Another nature can be found in the Alpujarras mountains just 30 minutes drive from Almerimar. These mountains are part of a large natural reserve that connects with the “Sierra Nevada” in the province of Granada. At an hour’s drive you can visit the famous “Cabo de Gata” reserve with its virgin beaches and a typical desert environment not far from the only European desert called Tabernas.
“La Ladera del Golf” is located in the small and friendly complex of Almerimar, which is busy but never overcrowded. It has many facilities, but it is not over commercialized. This private residence, in which our vacation rentals are located, is a very well-kept community with a very large communal pool, children’s playground, basketball/paddle tennis courts and many well-kept gardens. Because it is just outside the center of town, on the golf course, it is quieter and the views are spectacular. All the rental homes are oriented to the South and have large windows that give access to the terraces, which makes the living rooms very bright. Each property is similar but individual. This means that they are generally spacious, well equipped, fully furnished and offer all the comfort you need to make your stay a truly positive experience.
