With the explosive hypergrowth of the Internet, information that used to take days and weeks to reach people researching companies takes seconds. If the MLM Company changes its compensation plan or there is any defamation (true or false), the masses will have access to that information just by finding a website.

Why prospects never start

This is the reason why a large percentage of potential new reps never start, see a negative article or website that most of the time is not true and have missed them, or will have to explain why the claims are false. And it is just part of the natural order of things in our industry, it is true, but the new person who comes from a typical 9-5 background will be easily discouraged.

The friend or enemy of the Internet?

I’ve seen top leaders jump ship from other MLM companies and the videos get posted all over YouTube, people watch this and companies suffer from it, reps who were making good residual income looking forward to retirement, etc., they lose their income overnight. A double-edged sword for MLM companies, but it’s not all doom and gloom. There is a way to protect yourself if something happens to your business. Even if you lose your entire downline, money will continue to come in from multiple sources. There are systems and tactics that make you sleep much better at night.
