A young teenager’s point of view on the problems of our world

It was the day after Christmas when I took a look at the local newspaper and read about some events that are going to happen during 2006. It’s interesting, so take a look here:

o10,000,000 people will starve to death, including 4.5 million children

o 16,000 square kilometers of ice at the poles will melt

o 25,000 square kilometers of forest will be destroyed in the Amazon alone

o35 nations will be at war

oMore than 1 million people will commit suicide, while 10 million will try and fail.

o30 billion tons of gases dangerous to our environment will be released into the atmosphere

oFor the first time, more than 50% of the planet’s population will live in cities

oMore than a billion will die from malaria, something that is very rare in developed countries

o 1 in 5 people will live on less than a dollar a day

o3,000 children will die every hour from various diseases

o 50,000 species of animals and plants will become extinct…

Unfortunately, these are not the only problems facing humanity. We know that in addition to these, there are also dozens of other things to worry about, such as excessive growth in our population, global warming, child pornography, poverty, etc., but I guess we are all currently more concerned about the flu avian and the H5N1 virus.

Few people know that a scientist named Mittal will probably have a vaccine against H5N1 ready by October 2006, which means that the contagious period of the virus will have already begun and it is very possible that H5N1 could be transmitted between humans. Scientists predict that 360,000,000 will die; 1 in 20 people on earth… Many scientists, including Ira Longini, a professor of biostatics, say that it is certain that humanity will face a major pandemic, the largest of all, in a few months. Although the H5N1 virus is currently not contagious between humans but from birds to humans, Ira Longini says that if a person has even a slight fever and gets H5N1, the H5N1 DNA will become “one” with the other virus and it will create a new version of the virus’s DNA, H5N1, it will spread easily between people.

“Something like this is sure to happen in a few months,” he says. In just 5 months, we could have millions of deaths… It can start in this apparent way: A girl in a village in Thailand begins to cough. Despite her mother’s attempts to bring her temperature back to normal, the girl dies within a week. Many of the people who had been at her funeral also started coughing, including a businessman. Even though she is not feeling well, she decides not to cancel her trip to Bangkok, which is the next day. Six months later the situation is worse than it could be: the H5N1 virus has spread across all continents with hundreds of millions of deaths.

Even if such scenarios sound too scary, the fact that they are accepted by the scientific community makes them seem like a nightmare.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, all you hear is “Wars, pandemics, pollution, poverty…”

I really don’t like all of these. It’s not just about bird flu, it’s about all the other problems our world is facing. We are walking fast towards disaster, towards our extinction. Everyone would say that there is no return but I would never say that. I believe that there is a way back and to find it, we must look for the cause of our problems.

My firm belief is that all of this stems from the fact that man has truly turned away from God. Science has taken hold of God. Medicine, telecommunications, genetics, space travel… These are the miracles of today and these are the miracles that we will be talking about to our children. The “old” God is forgotten. We will never tell our children to believe what we hear from our parents; of a burning bush that could speak, of a man who walked on water, of a man who was born without a father. Science has won, but it has cost every person on earth.

Science can treat diseases and make our lives easier, but it has brought us to a world without mystery. The sunset has been translated into wavelengths; our space has been translated into mathematical equations. Even our value, as human beings, has been reduced; science has proven that the earth is a point of no importance in the universe, a cosmic failure. Technology promises to connect us with reality but actually separates us. Each of us, me, you and all people can connect electronically with the rest of the world, but we still feel alone.

Science tries to find out why some babies cannot be born, tries to reconstruct our DNA. Cut God’s world into smaller pieces, looking for the meaning of each one; all he finds is more questions. Science feeds like a virus and works faster and faster. It took humanity thousands of years to go from the steering wheel to the car, but only a few decades to go from the car to space. The situation is no longer under control. And believe me; We are all desperate even if we don’t know it. We are people imprisoned, tortured, mentally scattered by science and we are unable to accept the fact that life has meaning without science.

I’m not saying it’s against science, but we’ve really gone overboard and we’re in a modern car with failing brakes, headed for disaster with mathematical precision. Who is the God called science? Who is the God who gives power to his children but does not advise them how to use that power? Science does not even know and does not teach us what is good and what is bad. It just teaches us how to create a nuclear explosion, but doesn’t say if that’s right or wrong. Science helps us create weapons all the time, while people close to God beg world leaders to stop it.

Science encourages us to contact people through cell phones and computers, but it does not teach us at all that we should not forget to have personal contact with other people as it is in our nature. Science says you need evidence to accept that there is a God. Why don’t you look through your telescopes into space and then dare to say that there is no God? Can’t you see God in science? How is it possible to ignore it? How is it possible to ignore his advice to prevent our destruction? Science says that even a small change in the weight of an atom could cost us our birth. Isn’t that a miracle? Is it so easy to believe that we choose a card among a billion and win?

Albert Einstein had said: “To the extent that the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not true; and to the extent that they are true, they do not refer to reality”, “Imagination is more important than knowledge…”, “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science”, “The important thing is not to stop questioning”. He must have known something! Are God and religion some ancient dinosaurs or does the world really need them to prevent our loss? We always face something bad. Although that is called Satan, corruption, anomie, it is a dark power that is strengthened day by day. We must not ignore it but fight it! That power, despite being strong, is not unbeatable. Kindness will win.

However, I do not believe in any way that we should abandon science. The ancient Greeks used to say “Pan metron ariston” which means “All things in moderation and moderation in all things”, in other words, “The proportion is perfect”; nothing should be used without control. We need both God and science. It’s just that science has really gotten away from God and made people forget him. God is our guardian and science is our weapon, is what I tend to believe. We can use that weapon for our protection along with proper guidelines from our guardian, but without his advice, we will use it against ourselves, as we have already done. God has the same importance as science. We need you both!

Unfortunately, it’s a bit late to realize that. We are already headed for extinction and we can’t understand that properly, as it is the inability we have as human beings to look into the future and see the results of our future actions, now. Second by second we are getting closer to her. Stop! Stop! Stop having wars at last! Stop that waste of people! Someone with a “clear” logic, and I’m afraid ours is “dirty” by the way, if they found out we were still exterminating ourselves, they’d think we were cavemen. If they found out that we are destroying our home, which is our environment, it would disgust them.

If they heard that instead of cooperating to find new solutions to our problems, living in harmony and blessed in the eyes of God, we are still at a level where we are struggling and looking for ways in which we can get more out of it. for us; Just like little kids compete who will take the best plastic soldier to play in their plastic castles! Believe me, even those children, who are still pure souls, are more rational than us. Wake up fools, we’re missing out! We are destroying ourselves! It is time for us to open our eyes, go back to our father and guardian and listen to what he had to say! You can call that father God, Buddha, Allah or whatever he is, but he believes and then the results will be amazing. Even science, which ignores God, is forced to accept that through belief, people are magically transformed from monsters to humans. Wake up and believe! Believe!
