5 Quick and Easy DIY Home Decor Tips for 2017
It’s a new year, and with it came the call to change up your home decor a bit. Personally, I really like DIY home design projects, and I’ve collected some of my favorites for 2017.
1. Floating leaves
If you want a little piece of nature in your home, how about going for floating leaves?
This easy DIY home design project involves making use of old clear jars. Fill them with water and place the leaves in the jars to create unique art displays.
2. plant curtains
Want something different as a window treatment option? Go for ‘plant curtains’.
Creating ‘plant shades’ involves getting rid of the old curtains and filling the window space with a variety of plants. This not only opens up the room to natural light, but is a creative way to purify rooms and decorate windows.
3. Furniture from recovered boxes
Now you can make your furniture using elements that you already have at home. If you have old boxes lying around, you can transform them into furniture of exquisite taste.
You’ve probably seen some designer home furniture made from boxes, including coffee tables, seats, and beds too. Create your furniture using boxes depending on your particular needs.
4. Smart Smart Covert Dashboard
Who doesn’t have dishes stacked up in the sink from time to time? Worse still is trying to hide the mess in your oven when company arrives. You can creatively hide clutter by using a clever cover-up table.
Creating the board involves using an old cutting board or any sizable plastic board you no longer use. Customize it however you like and make sure it fits your sink to offer timely rescue when needed.
5. Jungle in your bathroom
He loves the forest; So why not take it to your bathroom?
Most of us often don’t know how to dress our bathrooms. If you love all things plant related like me, you can create a jungle in your bathroom.
Starting a mini garden in your bathroom is a bit strange, but with humidity and a window to let in light, those plants will thrive beautifully.
