So what about the third eye?

I get asked this question a lot! Almost very day actually! I wear my third eye sunglasses as often as I can for a real purpose. First of all, it’s fun, and fun is very important. I can exchange smiles with many people throughout the day, to connect with them. With all the suffering I’ve been through, it gives me great joy to be able to bring a smile to someone’s face, a stranger, someone I’ll probably never get the chance to meet. Lots of people get it and start a conversation with me about their experiences.

A lot of people don’t understand, and I’m so glad they feel comfortable enough to come up and ask me, “So what about the third eye?” The conversation begins and I get to plant some seeds and share a little about my story overcoming depression, anxiety, and twelve years with a cocktail of pharmaceuticals. And they begin to share their story, or their son’s story, or their mother’s story. The dialogue about depression begins. Something that unfortunately has become a taboo subject. It was my life, my world for almost twenty years, and now it is my passion to teach people about our mind, body, spiritual connection, and the beautiful abilities of our bodies to heal naturally.

Depression and anxiety are not illnesses in themselves, but side effects of the body’s holistic imbalance. Imbalance can be caused by literally thousands of different reasons and healing comes from curing the causes, not treating the symptom of depression with a pill. Don’t get me wrong: I support people’s decisions to take medicine when they need it. I certainly did. I was in no condition to heal myself at that time. I had two very sick children, mommy responsibilities, and other life issues to deal with.

Going back to the third eye… how does this relate to depression and anxiety? And is there such a thing? The third eye is our pineal glans and is located in the center of our forehead approximately halfway down the inside of the skull between the two hemispheres. It is responsible for the production of melotonin and serotonin. It’s a gland that actually contains the same vitreous fluid as our other two eyes. “What? Why is this the first time I’ve heard of this?” you may be wondering. I get it! I didn’t really learn about it until I was 40 years old. How could he not know about one of my body parts? Why wasn’t I taught about this when I was learning about my piggies and my head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes? I actually felt a bit surprised to find out so late in life. When I learned more about how keeping this glans healthy gave me so much power and connection to happiness, joy, and purpose in my life, I knew I needed to learn more and teach my brothers and sisters about it.

Other cultures celebrate the pineal gland and understand the power it holds. Buddhists and Hindus understand this. they use it. They feed it. They honor him. Why is it such a big secret here in the west? Or is that it? Then I started noticing things, the symbol has been used everywhere since the founding of our country, mostly in positive ways that represent the all-seeing eye of God and the ability of the individual to individually connect with that. I noticed the dollar bill and searched the internet to find out who else knows about this beautiful organ we have when I’ve been in the dark for so long. It has been used by organizations such as the Illuminati, the French government, the US government, Freemasons, 911 memorials, Madonna’s super bowl show, a Sydney New Year’s Eve celebration on the Harbor Bridge, etc. etc.

Is the eye symbol good or bad? How does that relate to me? The pineal gland is a beautiful aspect of our physical anatomy that connects us to the beautiful aspect of our energetic or spiritual anatomy and spirituality as a whole. When we are born, our third eye is healthy and activated, just like most parts of our body. I wasn’t taught (as probably most of my readers were) how to keep it healthy with good nutrition and exercise (third eye exercise, no jogging, lol), so mine shriveled up and I didn’t even know it was there.

There are many ways to build your strength in your pineal gland, your third eye and I have written about that in other articles on my website. I hope you will follow me on my Facebook page to learn more about developing your health – mind, body and spirit!

I love you all! <3
In light and love,
round
