One of the most important things that one must know about the Tarot is that it is comprised of a variety of suits of different colors and characters, each with a meaning, purpose, and direction in life. When I first picked up the Tarot, I believed it was the deck of a high-class casino somewhere in Asia, but it was the Rider Waite translation that initially attracted me to the Tarot. A friend of mine had brought it back from England and gave it to me for my birthday. I was fascinated by the imagery of the images of the Maids of Eden, and of the angel Michael and the Virgin Mary. But I wanted to learn more about the history of the Rider Waite Tarot, and I decided to translate the original text.
When I got home from my online research session, I opened the book of the Rider Waite Tarot, and I noticed that there were two versions of the same story in the book. The first was called The Maids of Eden, and the second was called The Book of the Twofold Moon. The first story is composed of fifteen suites, while the second story comprises eleven suites. This was something that I found very interesting. In fact, I actually kept the book because of this discovery.
