Nokia N79 Guide

The Nokia N79 is another great smartphone from Nokia. It weighs 100g and is as such a light phone. Especially once you see what this phone packs.

Design-wise, the Nokia N79 has a good-sized 2.4-inch screen and it’s very clear and bright. It has a great keyboard with good spacing between the buttons. One key feature we like is the fact that you can add Express-on covers to change the color of the phone. But this is where it gets really clever. Once you have added the new cover, the screen will automatically change/adjust to match the color of the cover. The full size of the Nokia N79 is 110mm x 49mm x 15mm.

There is a great little camera in the phone. It has a 5 mega pixel camera, with 20x digital zoom, autofocus carl zeiss optics. It also has automatic red-eye reduction which works very well. The camera, of course, isn’t the best we’ve found in Nokia phones, but it gets the job done and does it well.

When it comes to music, the Nokia N79 is pretty typical of their NSeries phones. Unlike sony ericsson phones, which make music a key part of the mobile phone, Nokia always seems to leave it as an extra, not really demanding too much attention. With that being said, the music player will still serve its required purposes. There are 74 megabytes of internal memory and flash memory has 78 megabytes. It supports most of the popular music formats and also has an FM radio.

The phone will work quite easily in terms of connecting to the Internet. This is also pretty standard with n-series phones as Nokia has figured out that nowadays we all like to stay in touch regarding emails, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and RSS feeds etc.

Of course, the Nokia N79 supports HTML and XHTML and is Wi-Fi enabled.

Not forgetting the apps, this phone has some of the best. This includes: Adobe Flash, Nokia Maps, Zip Manager and QuickOffice.
