The most common reason people fail or never start a diet is a lack of long-term motivation. Now, losing weight and gaining better health and self-esteem should be more than enough motivation you might think. Well, it’s not that simple! The most common mistake that people make when embarking on a weight loss diet program is that they think short term, that is, they plan for a certain number of weeks or months and do it more as a project than as a change of direction. What happens after a while is that the plan starts to fall apart and the person starts to lose interest in the project, and that’s where things start to go wrong. Some weight will come back, and the person might think that they are failing or that the diet is not working, which causes the motivation and the diet plan itself to deteriorate even more. In the meantime, the person’s self-esteem will begin to drop and this will also contribute to the bad, killer factor of motivation.

When I changed my life 10 years ago, I didn’t start with a particular plan or project. I had already been there, done that and failed. What I did was simple.
