Can’t get your ex girlfriend back? Survival guide to break

Oh man that feels bad. Your, now ex, girlfriend has left you. And despite your best efforts, you discovered that there is no way to get it back. You decided to let it go, but you have no idea how to start picking up the pieces of your old life. You were sure you would get her back and you two would live happily ever after.

Well, the bad news is that your life won’t be the same once your girlfriend dumps you. Your ex girlfriend is not coming back and everything changes from now on.

The good news is that it could even be better this time.

You know all those things you like to do, but your ex-girlfriend disapproved of (or even forbade), well, you’re free to do everything? that things again. Yes, I know you wanted her back, but now you can try to make this breakup as painless as possible for yourself.

Right at the top of (my) list, you can do these things to survive the first wave of complaints:

  • Partying with your friends all night without your phone or worrying about the time
  • Flirt with any woman you find attractive
  • Watching bad action movies or sports channels all day.
  • Listen to Sinatra and punk metal bands whenever you feel like it.
  • Ordering, tossing in tofu, soy, and some things you don’t even know how to make.
  • Having a lot more time in the gym and spending time with yourself again
  • Make your bathroom look like a bathroom again (no, it’s not a spa anymore)
  • Having fun with your online dating profile.
  • Focus on improving your career
  • Resuming your love for adventure sports
  • dating your ex girlfriend and your girlfriend again
  • No longer try to match your shoes with your outfit
  • Having a party at your house involving your friends and some Russian ladies

I know it hurts now and you want to get your ex girlfriend back and make up but the best thing you can do for yourself right now is to focus on yourself. Try to improve your life. Do things you wanted to but couldn’t when your ex girlfriend was around. Do things you always wanted but didn’t do because you didn’t have time.

It is very important to focus on improving your life now. This way you will avoid feeling depressed. It’s much better if your girlfriend dumps you, but to get a raise then your girlfriend dumps you and you get fired from your job. See what I mean?

I also think it’s important for you to boost your confidence level by improving your appearance (no, I don’t think you’ll look bad) by joining a gym, getting a new haircut, or getting a tattoo. And flirt like crazy. Just flirt randomly, don’t set out to get into a new relationship ASAP, flirt, have fun and have a causal date or cup of coffee.

Also, a little adrenaline will help you not to think about your ex-girlfriend. She calls your friends and go paintball or try bungee jumping. Once your adrenaline kicks in and you feel grateful to be alive (I always get that feeling after I “survived” something), you’ll see that the issue of your ex-girlfriend won’t be as big of a deal anymore. Not in the big picture.

Have a lot of people around you and make it a mix of old friends and new acquaintances. Go out more, do not reject any invitation. And then throw a party at your house to mingle those people.

And if you run into your ex-girlfriend in the process, be courteous. Don’t make a scene, tell her it’s good to see her and leave. If you still have feelings for her and aren’t ready to be her friend, don’t. You’ll feel worse if you rush with friends. Oh, and don’t try to get your ex back at this point, she moves on with dignity, let her go.
