When we took a look at this device, we found it very difficult to criticize the phone, but there was one area that we were a bit disappointed in and that was the battery life that the model offers. The default setting for this is set to maximum, so by lowering the level in the settings menu, users will immediately see better battery performance. Another phone feature that puts a strain on the battery is the automatic sync setting for emails. This allows users to be automatically notified of incoming mail. To do this, the phone needs to maintain a continuous data connection which will also help the battery life to decrease rapidly. Turning this setting off can help improve battery life, but many users may be reluctant to do so because they want to know when they get a new email. A quick way around this is to use the auto sync widget on your home screen. This will update your inbox each time you press it so you don’t miss out on important emails and messages. In addition to these tips, HTC is rolling out a new update that promises to improve the device’s power management and thus provide longer battery life expectancy.
